There is a BDCHS app coming to cell phones! On the app, users are greeted by a “feed” screen, displaying BDCHS stories and reports that are accessible to fully read within a tap. Similar to the website, users can access athletic, staff, dining, and event information. Unlike the website, users can opt to receive push notifications from the app. One may also share and directly add events such as PAC and Board of Directors meetings to their digital calendars. Android development is in progress, but at the moment, the app is exclusively available to Apple devices, and can be found here or downloaded by searching “BDCHS” In the app store.
In other technology news, if students are facing computer troubles on their Phoenix Chromebooks, students are to practice basic troubleshooting (e.g., refreshing the page, checking any cables, restarting the computer). In case difficulties persist, students may ask teachers for assistance, and use the desktop computers located in the classroom for the block at hand. In the event that further help is needed, IT specialists Mr. Hunn and Mr. Diel will be in the media center during student lunches to provide tech support.
