Christyan Chazares, one of the finalists for PCA Triple Impact Scholarship

We would like to acknowledge the hard work and efforts put forward by two of our students, seniors Christyan Chazares and Robert “Quinn” McCormick, who are Triple-Impact Competitor (TIC) Scholarship finalists for the PCA, or Positive Coaching Alliance. This scholarship recognizes students for “their character and the effort they put in both on and off the field,” according to the organization’s website. Finalists are selected based on references on how the students have strived to help their teammates and improve themselves as well as the sport itself, in addition to several short essay responses. Once the applicant has been accepted into the PCA program, coaches assist the recipients in applying such attributes towards their transition into their college experience. In an interview, Chazares notes feeling very thankful for being given the opportunity to be a finalist. We wish the finalists the best of luck moving forward into the final decisions of the scholarship!
