School Grade

On behalf of the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School community, I am proud to announce that the Florida Department of Education has once again recognized our school with an "A" School Grade for the 2025–2026 school year.

This distinction reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, staff, families, and Governing Board to academic excellence and continuous improvement. While maintaining an "A" rating is an outstanding accomplishment, this year's results demonstrate remarkable progress across nearly every area of student achievement.

BDCHS increased its overall accountability score from 661 points in 2024–2025 to 697 points in 2025–2026, representing a 36-point gain in the school's overall performance. The school experienced significant growth in several key accountability measures, including:

  • English Language Arts Achievement increased from 70% to 76%.

  • English Language Arts Learning Gains improved from 65% to 68%.

  • Mathematics Achievement increased from 51% to 55%.

  • Mathematics Learning Gains rose from 38% to 46%.

  • Mathematics Learning Gains for the Lowest 25% of Students showed exceptional improvement, increasing from 38% to 55%, a gain of 17 percentage points.

  • Science Achievement improved from 80% to 82%.

  • College and Career Acceleration increased from 67% to 70%, demonstrating our continued commitment to preparing students for success beyond high school.

These gains reflect our faculty's unwavering commitment to high-quality instruction and targeted interventions. While we celebrate these accomplishments, we remain committed to continuous improvement and ensuring every student is prepared for college, career, and life.

I extend my sincere appreciation to my exceptional administrative team, teachers and staff, whose dedication makes these achievements possible each day. I also thank our families for their partnership, our Governing Board for its steadfast support, and most importantly, our students for their hard work, resilience, and determination. Together, we will continue building on this momentum as we pursue excellence in all that we do.
