AP Gold

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School has once again been recognized for outstanding academic performance, earning Gold status on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll by the College Board. Only 1,169 schools, representing just 7% of eligible schools across the United States and Canada, achieved this prestigious distinction.

The AP School Honor Roll evaluates schools using three key measures of Advanced Placement participation and success. BDCHS earned high marks across all categories:

College Culture: Sixty‑eight percent of BDCHS students took at least one AP exam during high school, qualifying the school for Gold recognition in this category.

College Credit: Nearly half of all students (49%) earned a score of 3 or higher on at least one AP exam, securing an additional Gold distinction.

College Optimization: In the most advanced measure, tracking the percentage of students who took a total of five AP exams, including one during their 9th or 10th grade year, BDCHS achieved an impressive 27%. This earned the school Platinum, the highest possible level.

This accomplishment underscores the school’s ongoing commitment to rigorous coursework, college readiness, and equitable access to AP opportunities. Administrators attribute the recognition to the hard work of students, the dedication of teachers, and the leadership of the school’s AP coordinator.

Brooks DeBartolo continues to prioritize academic excellence and remains committed to providing pathways that empower every Phoenix to achieve success at the highest levels.
