Curriculum & Instruction

The primary mission of BDCHS is to prepare students for success beyond high school, by exposing them to curricula, extra-curricular activities and social-cultural experiences that support their development as productive citizens and lifelong learners. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School's core curriculum is taught through Honors, Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses. The curriculum is reinforced through the use of experiential learning and college and career readiness opportunities centered around community and service learning.

Dual Enrollment(DE):
Dual enrollment is a program that allows high school students to simultaneously earn credit toward a high school diploma and college credit or vocational credit toward a postsecondary diploma, certificate or degree at a Florida public institution while still enrolled in high school.  BDCHS students are eligible to participate in dual enrollment programs through Hillsborough Community College.  For more information, Click Here

Advanced Placement (AP):
The Advanced Placement Program is a trademark program of the College Board.  AP courses challenge students with a rigorous academic focus on content knowledge, analytical reasoning skills and disciplined study habits.  AP courses allow students to earn both higher quality points toward the high school grade point average (GPA) calculations and potential college credits by passing an AP subject exam.  For more information, please visit:
